Peer Support is about real connection with someone who understands because they have lived experience too. We are here to listen, share, and walk alongside you while you find your own way forward. We believe in your strength, your choices, and your future.

Peer Support is for people who want connection and are ready to engage in a way that feels right for them. It’s for Tangata Whai Ora who want someone alongside them who understands and supports you at the level you choose. If you want a listening ear, shared experience, and encouragement as you show up for yourself, Peer Support is for you. We walk beside you and hold space for your path.

Peer Support is available in many different community organisations. If you want to learn more or volunteer your time, ask if an organisation you care about has volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in studying, we recommend Whitireia’s Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Peer Support) course.
